Pierce-Roberts
Rubber in the
Hydraulic Industry
From massive hydraulic units to simple
rubber gaskets, Pierce-Roberts Rubber
Company is skilled in developing rubber
products for the heavy machine industry.
Pierce-Roberts rubber products work
in the field and in the factory by
resisting damage from chemicals and
performing under repetitive conditions.
Molded Rubber Oil Seals
Oil seals keep internal fluid systems
in and keep external contaminants
out. Pierce-Roberts oil seals close
dynamically between the shaft and
sealing rubber and statically between
the stationary housing and the seal.
We use precise elastomer blends to
ensure the integrity of the seal.
Our elastomers include Silicone, VitonTM,
Flourosilicone, Ethylene Propylene
Diene Monomer (EPDM), Styrene-Butadiene
Rubber (SBR), Buna N, Butyl rubber,
and Natural rubber.
Molded Rubber O-Rings
O-rings are a mechanical seal with
an "o-shaped" elastomer.
Positioned in a groove and compressed
during assembly between parts, they
create a seal at the interface. Pierce-Roberts
bases the O-ring material selection
on chemical compatibility, application
temperature, sealing pressure, lubrication
requirements, and cost. Our materials
include Buna N, Silicone, Viton®,
Fluorosilicone, and EPDM.
Rubber Drain tubes
Pierce-Roberts precision molded rubber
drain tubes are constructed from a
variety of elastomer compounds for
flow lines, fluids, and gases. Pierce-Roberts
custom molded rubber drain tubes feature
superior flexibility and elasticity
while maintaining proper functional
shape.
Rubber Gaskets
Rubber gaskets are mechanical seals
that serve to fill the space between
two objects, generally to prevent
leakage between the two objects while
under compression. It is usually desirable
that the gasket be made from a compressible
or slightly compressible material
such as compression molded rubber
to tightly fill the space it is designed
for, including any slight irregularities.
Pierce-Roberts rubber parts withstand
high compressive loads. Most industrial
gasket applications involve bolts
exerting compression well into the
2,000 psi range or higher. Through
continuous quality control, Pierce-Roberts
molds every rubber product to get
the job done time after time.
